Now the new tank/system is up and running I want to understand it better. I really want to concentrate on my lights to start. I purchased these second hand from LFS but I can't find any info about them on the net.

I have a 5ft SYSTEM 2000 halide set up. It has 3 150w bulbs and 2 blues. I have no idea how to get the blues out but here's a photo of the 150w
31441

I know it's a 150w but I don't know what "K" it is. I also don't know how old the bulbs are which is why I'm considering changing them.

What I would like to know is:

1. Is this what they refer to as a double ended lamp?

2. Do I have to use 150W lamp or can I use higher?

3. Can I mix and match the 3 different lamps with different "K's" i.e 10000,12000 & 15000?

If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be grateful.

1. Yes
2. Yes you HAVE to use 150W bulbs
3. You can mix and match as you wish to achieve the look you would like.

No problem my friend!!!

These bulbs are cheap and seem to be getting good reviews, I plan to order some myself.

I reckon my current bulbs must be 10000k they are so yellow compared to the new one. I've ordered another 2!!!!
