I just got some plant and wanted to know the best method for puting them in my tank?
Open bag (if they are in the bag), prune dead parts, dump in tank. That's how you put them in.
As for planting them, stick the roots under the gravel. If any of the plants have a rhizome, make sure not to bury that. If you don't know what I rhizome is (I didn't until about a week or so ago), here's a good explanation:
Only the roots are buried. The rhizome is the horizontal bar that the roots come out of. It can be done, and I have done it many times. Here is a pic. You can plant the roots deeper than that up to the rhizome, but in that pic it have gotten moved around a bit and started coming out of the sand.

java moss you can tie down to driftwood or rocks or make a background. i haven some just sitting on the gravel. java fern should be tied down to a rock or driftwood. it does best on them.

will the java ferns do ok in the sand? and they all arived in good order by the way thanks again
