Well... It is time for a pruning and there is still an algae problem in my tank... Now when you introduce a new plant to your tank, you should soak it in a bleach/vinager + water mixture.

I was thinkig that to help battle the algae I could soak the trimmings in the solution. I plan to use vinegar + water mixture but do not know how what ratio to use. Also how long should i leave it in there?

I've used a 1/20 bleach to water solution in the past, mostly for snail and other unwanted critters removal but it'll work on algae too.

Address the cause of the algae problem though, it will only come back if conditions allow it.

well i am addressing the issue right now, but i thought that this might help a little.

I know you can use bleach but I dont want to use it. Anybody know about how much vinegar?
