:omg: WOW....I thought I had cyno problems. It looks like you only have 2 fishes, so doubt you are feeding too much. What is the source of your water?? Are you using RO water?? Are you buying fresh SW?? You may need a phosphate reactor or a nitrate sponge.
But first we must find out the problem.

cyano is the red algae im guessing? yeah its bad. but anyways im using tap water with a water conditioner. i feed twice a day about a pich each time once in the morning once at night. my lighting schedule. i have orbit power compacts 135wats. it has the actnic blue bulb and the 10k50/50 white bulb, so i use the 50/50 during the day then at night i swith to the actnic blue. so i have 24 hour lighting i guess. i know the tap water with conditioner isn't good but its my only option. should i buy a filter? would that help?

its a 36 gallon bow front tank with a seaclone skimmer, orbit power compact lights 135w. 50ibs of live rock, 1 conndy anemone, 2 false clowns a couple hermit crabs, 3 turbos, and 2 orange snails not sure what they are.
thinking about adding a filter and a phosphate reactor or nitrate sponge.

I scrape my glass every day more or less. If I look at it and can see a smear it gets scraped. I have a magnetic cleaner that has blades rather than pads and it's excellent. With regards to your cyano algae (been there, done that, what a pain!!!) what are your current params, have you tested the water you're putting in? With regard to your lighting exactly how long are they on for? What time on in the morning, what time off and same for the blues?

I clean my glass once every day or two. It doesn't get too bad in that amount of time, but there is definitely some sort of biofilm buildup in that amount of time that is noticeable, and it bugs me.
