hello, im currently on my 5th day of this fishless cycle, its my first tank ever and its a 10g. Originally i started with a fishy cycle about 2-3 weeks ago using zebra danios. they both died about a week before i moved. around 4-6 days prior to when i moved, i left the tank with just enough water so my amazon sword can survive. i have now moved, and i started a fishless cycle.
SO FAR MY READINGS ARE:
Day 1: ph: 7.6 Ammo:0 Trite:0 Trate: .1
Day 2: ph: 6.9 (used ph down) Ammo:0 Trite: 2.1 Trate: 0
Day 3: ph: 7. Ammo: 0 Trite: 2 Trate: 0
Day 4: ph: 7 Ammo:3 (used pure ammo) Trite: 2 Trate: 0
Day 5: ph: 7 Ammo:3 Trite: 2.4 Trate: 0

hoping to get 4 corys, a few cherry shrimp
then glowing zebra danios or harlequin rasboras or rummy nose tetra
i can't make up my mind. plus i dont know how many to get

I would just like to know everyones opinion, is everything fine?
Any suggestions? btw im keepin my temp at roughly 87 degrees till the cycle is finished.

first of all..... dont use ph down.... going to do nothing but cause problems......

if you can find someone with a cycled tank and get some filter media.... maybe some gravel....

yeah, don't bother with the PH unless your keeping some really sensitive fish (IE discus), not worth the risk.

dont even bother with ph even when the tank is already established?
