I have a dwarf gourami right now and it's been at a friends house while i performed a water cycling deal. I noticed that the gourami likes a neutral pH and the neon tetras like a slightly acidic pH. Can i add them together? And i know the neon tetra is a really picky fish, will it be ok if i make the pH slightly acidic to meet the tetras need and if I do that will it be ok for the dwarf gourami? or can i just leave the pH at neutral and will the neon tetras be ok?just curious, thanks for the help

Leaving your water at it's present pH is fine. If you check with your LFS< they liekly do not make any change for the fish they stock. Just be patient and buy healthy stock. Fish can acclimate to a variety of pH conditions, as long as they are stable.

You're far better off not trying to "adjust" your ph. The neons will be fine in water that's a bit higher ph than ideal. You only have to be more exact with their water parameters if you're wanting to breed them.

Thank you very much for your input. I checked the pH i have right now and it read 7.6. So is that alright, b/c that is what the fish at my LFS are kept at, thanks again.
