Will cherry barbs eat my plants?

I heard that some barbs do snack on plants, but I wanted to make sure that cherry barbs did / did not before I buy them for my planted tank.

My cherry barbs have never eaten my plants..

my cherry barbs snack on my anacharis and eat "around" my java moss (although I can't tell from the afro of moss that i have).

I have cherry barbs in all three of my tanks and they don't eat plants. they do seem to eat quite a bit of algae though, especially when underfed. mine even seem to snack on hair algae.
