I am betting he is only starting the bid at $500.... he may have a reserve too.... and then it's just the tank, with flaws, nothing else.

My past luck on ebay is such that the price always go up at least 20% due to bids. And DD may be right about the plain tank and flaws.

Free shipping!? The shipping would be outrageous on that. I wouldn't be surprised if it's very flawed to the point he'd be lucky to get anything for it. If it was really a good deal and a good tank, he'd easily sell it locally and avoid shipping costs.

I would guess it was a free tank he got from some remodel job from a business.
Judging from his description he's never seen it full .

"one slightly visible seam on both sides, probably invisible when filled with water"

....and it states that the tank is less than a year old. The guy has zero feedback....makes me wonder. I could picture this in my basement though :idea:
