My new porcupie puffer seems sad

I just bought a porcupine puffer Saturday.And I am probaly jumping the gun here,as I know it can take a week for fish to fully accumilate to your tank.But I worry..lol.
nitrites are 0 ammonia 0 nitartes less than 10 ph 8.3..
Ok here is what is going on.He acts sooo sad,he is eating but not very much,or not as much as I expected him to eat.He is also very shy.He is only like 2 to 3 inches long and seems very healthy,I love him already so I am worried..
Any advice or anything you can give me?
I have dreamed of this fish forever and spent the past three weeks trying to get him.Now that I have him I wont him healthy and happy.

Yeah I know,,I am just soooo impatient when it comes to him..lol.I idi so much research on him before I go him,and I have other fish so I know it takes time,I just can not get my self to stop worrying about him.I guess it is where I wonted him soooo long and decided not to get him because I wonted a reef tank,.Then I decided I wonted him more than a reef,..lol.Roller coaster ride over here..lol

I've had a porcupine puffer for about 5 or 6 months and at first all he did was hide only came out to eat. But now he eats out of my hand and will also follow my fingers around, they are nocturnal fish and mainly come out at night but will adjust to tank life and start coming out more, be aware they grow fast very fast.
 
Thanks Tankanator,,I wont him to warm up to me sooo bad..My Picasso will let me pet him,he does a feed me dance,and will eat out of my fingers.And I wont the porcupine to do that as well.I can't wait till he acts like he likes me..lol.He stays out through the day but I have noticed he explores the tank more when the lights are off.
I know they grow fast all my fish has grown very fast since I got them but I feed them often and they get a wide variety of foods..
 
He is warming up to me.But he still seems so shy.And acts like he really don't care for me so much..lol..He loves silver sides and has figured out when my hand goes in the tank above him that means food and he looks for it.He has made his home with my maroon clown,,lol.The over flow in my tank is on one side and there home is in front of the over flow.He has started venturing out a bit during the day but not much..I did find out today he does NOT like the magnet cleaner..lol. I will get a pic asap..He puffed the other day for no reason.There was no fish around him so no idea why he did it but I did get a pic of it.I will post pics soon.
 
They will do that I was sitting at my computer one day and looked over and there he was puffed up, funny looking. Right now he is about 6" long and getting bigger.
