Just thought I would pass this on to anyone that has snail growing tanks for feeding such things as puffers and loaches. After numerous experiments with spinach, lettace, peas and beans I have found that Ram's Horn snails absolutely love celery. I was cutting up some celery, dropped the top in the tank and it was gone except for a few strings the next day. I dropped another one in 1 hour ago and it is covered in snails.

While they may love it, I wouldn't use that for a staple food. Celery is pretty much nutritionally void, which means that you are not giving them anything worth passing on to your loaches or puffers. If they are just a treat to make happy fish, no biggie, but if the snails are the staple diet for puffers, not good.
