A friend of a friend was getting rid of her tank (fish and all). I heard that she might just kill the fish if nobody wanted them, so I of course took them. I'm not new to having fish, I have two tanks set up already. Long story short... I have no idea what type of fish this is. It's some sort of catfish. I've looked all over online and can't find anything at all that looks like it. The best way to describe it is a silver and black marble. It is THE COOLEST fish!! It's 8" or better. My first task is to get it a bigger tank. The poor thing is in a 50 gal. Any suggestions about what type of catfish it is? I'll try to get a good pic of it.

Pic would help, what other fish did you "rescue" from death?

Here are some pics. They aren't the greatest but I think they'll do. There were also 2 iridescent sharks, a leopard pleco and something she called a horsehead... also can't find a pic online. The horsehead stays mostly under the gravel until feeding time. I separated the catfish from the rest of the fish, I'm pretty sure he was nibbling on the sharks. They're all doing great now though!! The catfish (Big Guy) just needs a bigger home, which I'm hoping I can get soon.

Oh, you mean the sharks? They're only about 4-5" right now. I'm more concerned with the Spotted Bullhead. He's all by himself. Anything I try to put in with him he picks at, even the pleco.... Any suggestions?

You might just have a mean one. i have one. If they are put with fish smaller then them, they will do that also. If you do want him with someone i would put him in after the other ones are in. He could be territorial sence he thinks that whole tank is his right now. OORR you could make the tank bare put the new fish in then re do everything. That way new territories are established.
