Tell me if this make sense....My tank has been cloudy for quite sometime now. I recently replaced my media a few weeks apart so it could be this....but what i think it is is this...

ive been out of CO2 for a few weeks now and have still been fertilizing by my normal schedule. My idea is this....since Ive not had CO2 for a few weeks the plants arent growing as fast as they did with the CO2 and by sticking with my fert schedule the bacteria has been feeding off the excess nutrients....i think a mix of this and changing my media a few weeks apart has started a bacteria bloom....does that make any sense atall? It all sounded good in my head and seemed to make sense by what Ive read about bacterial blooms.

"This may also cause a greyish-white haze in the water. The causes may be complex, but it is more likely to occur in harder water which contains more minerals."

"As in algae, high nutrient levels can also trigger a bacteria bloom (In this case, they are feeding on the excess nutrients)"

I also found this:
"This type of cloudiness can also happen after large water changes."

So im going to cut my WCs to 10-15% 2x a week....but i really think its the CO2...any ideas guys?

Possible. Only way to find out is to get the CO2 turned back on as that's the primary variable.

acutally the bacterial bloom finally cleared up but my water had a nice haze of yellow so i put it some activated carbon and its clearing up quite nicely
