The dawn rises slowly over ACville's town square, bringing a new day for this town, and horrors of days long gone. Even with full sunrise, not all of the shadows fully recede.

Most eyecatching are the shadows on Bala's back, being created from a hideous form, tied to the dorsal fin of the statue that represents the town. The form is twisted in agony, pain fully expressed on what remains of it's face, the body burnt to a crisp.

Scrawled on the base of Bala, in a mixture of blood and ashes...

Maybe make a rule that if it's a person's first game they get a pass for 2 days where they won't be hit or lynched so that they have a chance to get a feel for the game before they really become accountable and pressure gets put on them. Course need to make sure they don't get a power role either or that would be an unfair advantage.

Yeah, we got a new player!! Basicaly when the game begins you will get a pm telling you your role...you don't tell others. If you are evil you will have team mates that will pm you and usually set up a meeting place that you guy's can talk to each other outside the site. If you are innocent (townie) you can not comunicate with others outside the game about the game.

The townies are trying to rid the town of the evils. There will be rules posted when the game begins.

I would suggest looking back at some of the old mafia games and see how it works, at first it can be a little confusing, just expect to get grilled a few times and DO NOT take anything personal...it is not, just part of the game!

Basically, there are two teams. The town (who do not know who each other are) and the bad guys (mafia, witches, werewolves) who do know who each other are.

The town has to figure out who all the bad guys are before the bad guys eliminate the town.

Each 'day' (a game turn) everyone can discuss things in the thread. No one can discuss things outside of the thread except for the badguys (and whoever else the ref says). During the 'day', each member of the town votes to 'lynch' someone. That player is gone and the town learns his/her role.

During the 'night', some roles have abilities and the bad guys eliminate someone.

Repeat until one side wins

Have you looked through other games just to see if you can get a feel for it? Once in the game it will be hard to help, it will be odd for you the first day or two but after that you'll get it down.

because whenever you post that your innocent, 10 people reply you must be a mafia scumbag. And merely suggesting voting for noone is enough to get you killed around here. Being a "townie" is the hardest role of all, you will be alone in the dark. All the while, there will be people trying to twist your posts so that you appear to be evil. Some of those will be scumbags trying to get you killed. Some of those will be good intentioned "townies" trying to find scumbags. Good luck figuring out which is which. Personally, I like the townie role. Being "mafium" is alot of fun too, though I've only been mafium once. Good times, man. Good times. I have been the Detective once and the Doctor once. I was also a Man-at-Arms in a Werewolf variation of the game.

Thanks for thinking of me, guys. Like JL, my family has been requesting more of my time also. I still plan to play occasionally, but for the time-being, need to take longer breaks between waves. It's been very difficult not to opt-in when I see the sign-up threads...

As far as Coler, he was playing at mafiascum, but quit awhile back, as it's a much slower game (one day/night cycle can sometimes take a month or more to complete). Hope all is well with him...
