Just wondering what everyone recomends for salt.
Currently I am using Oceanic, but my supply is getting low, and I will need to purchase more soon.

Should I stay with the same stuff, or is there better salt on the market to use?

Thanks, for the input.

right now it is mainy fish, with some coral (pulsing xenia, and some frogspawn) but the goal is for a reef.

Would it be a problem switching brands of salt?

I personally like Reef Crystals for a reef tank and all you should have to do is 2-3 small wc when you switch salts then everything should be just fine. I know some people say to go slow when switching salts but I have never seen a problem when friends of mine have switched salt brands.

I have only ever used Instant Ocean and Oceanic which is what I am using now.

I really like it. Right after mixing, the calcium level is about 470-480 and KH is about 8.0-8.3

I remember when I used IO, the caclium and KH always had to be supplemented as the CA was at about 370.

I would also venture to say Oceanic dissolves in less than half the time.

I like Reef Crystals, also... but I must admit the only other salt I've used is Instant Ocean. I haven't had any problems with RC, so since switching to that I haven't had a reason to try anything else.
