Well, its started, I now have two plants lol. Ive removed the ineffective 15w tube for two 23 watt CFLs. Now instead of a lowly java fern I have some Cambomba to go with it, Caroliniana from the looks of it. 1 java moss wall about 16" high by 24" is planned soon :D . Btw, WPG is now at 2 1/4, are ferts needed now?

Anyways, any ideas how to care for this Cambomba,

Cabomba (fanwort) http://faq.thekrib.com/hi-lite.gif Stems up to 20" (50cm) tall. Leaves resemble fine pine needles, fanning out from central stem. Pair of leaves at each node. Will tend to break apart and litter the aquarium if light is too low. Difficult to grow; needs high fertilization.

Cabomba plants in the aquarium require good light (i.e. 1.5-3 watts per gallon), and warm water temperatures (from 18°-32°C). They also benefit from regular CO2 injection and a good quality substrate that is rich in all of the macro- and micronutrients.

A very popular aquarium plant owing to its beautiful foliage. The least demanding of the Cabomba species, but still causes problems in poorly lit aquariums. If there is not sufficient light, try Limnophila sessiliflora, which requires less light. Most decorative when planted in groups.

I plan on CO2 as soon as I finish my 2L DR Pepper bottle, lol, I plan on possibly 2 bottles in parallel, joined at a valve (knew that thing was good for something) if I have enough plants :)
