I've never had a reef tank before and i'm trying to save cost by building my own sump/refugium I'm wondering if someone can help with instructions for them.... If it helps the tank is going 2 be either a 75 or 90 gallon.
All help will be greatly appreciated

Building a sump is not that hard, you just have to understand the basics of what is involved and how they work...for a basic understanding of how sumps work, please read the following web page...

Hope that helps

Thank you the links were good now my question is ... where can i get 3/16" plexiglass (acrylic) in around the GTA area Ontario?

Do you folks have Home Depot or ACO or Ace Hardwares? They all carry it in my area. I got mine at a Home Depot.

Here's a pic of my very basic sump:

These guys on the board walked me through most of it, but I did use the site Niko mentioned too (melevsreef). I'd like to also mention that I'm not happy with that skimmer and it's soon to be replaced.

Good luck,
Tom
