I got a PM the other day over on MFK for some updated shots of my fish (and there is a thread over there in response).

I thought I would post some here too:

first some fishroom shots: one of these days I will take some shots of the 30s in the right hand corner that you can't see in these pics.

Sweet fishy room! I want to run my son's room into a fish room when he gets older and moves out! I'll have fish tanks all along the walls with a swiveling lazy-boy chair in the center so I can relax, look at any fish tank I want, and do my crocheting =) Oh yeah, need a radio in there too somewhere hehehe.

90 and 65 underneath showing 18 inch lemon finned barbs way too big for the tank, but with a future 150 gallon in the works:

ps I used to think the normal 12 inch tinfoils in the bottom tank were big! LOL

my how things can change..

ummm.... 12... it seems you have room for another tank on that iron stand...

nice room, I like it! You know, I also have a chair stationed in front of my 75 gallon and Mr. Doll thinks it's hysterical.

LOL yes, a 50 gallon standard (36x18x18) could go down there but not yet.

I live at my parents place at the moment, and am saving up to move out. When I go, all the small tanks will be sold and I will take the big tanks with me. The money gained from the sales of all the small tanks (three 30`s, a 20 and a 10) will go towards the new 150 gallon set up.

so I am taking pics of the fishroom as it is now, because down the road it will be no more.. :)

I have had most of these tanks for a long time now..

I am regretting not buying a trio or a group of 4 from the same tank that I bought this guy. Although he has coloured up a whole lot since I got him, the whole tank of fish from the tank were all really nice like this one.

wild, but not cheap (50 canadian I believe it was..)

LOL it is kind of scary when you consider that an 18 inch barb will make an adult oscar look small...:omg:

I see it all the time at the LFS. big oscars..that are big...but still about half the overall size of the big barbs..

:nono: when are you going to get that 150g?! And why is there a space that isn't filled with a tank?!?! :thud:

J/k, still looking great, how old are those barbs, I forget

The barbs are probably 2 and a half years old now.

I moved them up from the 65 and into the 90 last january, which is coming up a year. So they have been in the 90 for almost a year already. I think I had them for about a year and a half before that. Of course, they were very small when I got them.

they, like normal tinfoils, grow very rapidly (about an inch per month or so) when they are in their growth spurt.

some more of the ever posing red head: a couple of these shots look a lot like my avatar shot. but they aren't quite as good.

its easy to take great shots of a fish that just sits there in front of you trying to look pretty in hopes that you will feed him!

great fish...

65 gallon

these fish are all starting to really show their age..

the SD's are not that bright lustrous silver that they were 10 years ago, the tinfoils have some raggedness to their fins etc.

but all are still healthy and active, just maybe not as pretty as they were years ago..
