question about snails

i have sand for my substrate. i added two mystery snails to my aquarium. they leave a slime trail behind them. my question is, what becomes of the slime trail? is it always going to be there or will it disolve away? i don't want a blanket of slime everywhere.

It will probably dissolve.

as above plus the fish will probably eat it. i know from my own experience (not much tho) that fry love it my baby guppies eat it like they wernt gona get fed again. lol
