I have a 29 gallon with:

Live plants
Colorful med. gravel
Fluval 404
UGF
2 baby black moors (1" each)

I know that is tank is not large enough for them for long.
What size should I look into?
What else can I put with them?
Can I switch to pool filter sand? or other sand?

I found a 150 gallon tank (4' x 2.5' x 2') is was considering that but not sure what else I could put in there with them, otherwise I will just get a 55 gallon.

THANKS

55 gallons sounds fine for the two of them unless you want a couple more than you should get the 150.

Sand, not so sure with goldfush, no experience there. But sand shows all the poop so with as much as goldfish produce it wouldn't be too appealing but I don't see any problems...

Sounds like a nice set up right now

sand is great with goldfish.. i highly recommend it. i dont have much of a problem with fish poo on it either.

I'd say go for the 150g and get a couple more fancies and 3 dojo loaches... as long as you have good filteration.

I cant imagine having my goldfish with sand. They go through the gravel a lot, and it seems simple with gravel, I don't know how they would go a bout it with sand honestly. If getting a 150 gallon tank is an option for you then do it! :]
