The DIY CO2 is the best way to go if it was me, I like it b.c. its cheap and it works. all you need is a 2-liter bottle, airstone, airline, sugar and yeast. Its that simple, if you dont know how or want some ideas google DIY CO2

I'm using the Hagen Co2 system on my 30g and it's doing a great job with the plants. I'm not into the do it yourself stuff, but this is the same concept without the nasty 2L bottle. Once you get one, you can recharge using yeast, sugar and baking soda - no need to buy the replacement charges for it. It lasts about 3 weeks in my tank and I am currently looking at a recipe using jello that may last longer. Here's a link to the Jello thread, this mixture is much to big for the Hagen so I'm going to have to think about how to ratio it properly for what I need. Hope this helps.

By the way, you may want to try reading in the Plant forum, there is a lot more info there about Co2 and plant care.
