i have heard different things about this, and i have a really cool sand sculpture that would make an awesome aquarium decoration, but i want to make sure if it is alright or not before i put it in.

I assume it's "sealed" with something to keep it from falling apart. Do you know what that is specifically? Got a pic?

unfortunately i don't know what it is sealed with. i imagine from the way it looks that it is like plaster or something. i have no pics becuz i am not able to upload any. =[

I would say no, It could have glue, sealer, and dye that might be toxic.

If you don't know exactly what it's made of and it's not made for aquarium use, there's no way of knowing if it's safe or not. I wouldn't use it.

How bad do you want to put it in the aquarium?
You could possibly cover it in a marine epoxy.

do they make clear marine epoxy? i can only find the paint kind.

they do make a clear marine epoxy, but I would never use it in an aquarium.

and the solvents might destroy the sculpture anyway.
