I want to put some CO2 into my 10g tank. I rather not do a DIY CO2 and rather not buy a big canister of CO2. Is the Hagen Natural Plant System good? Or the Hydor one? The hydor retails for more then the hagen one. Which one is good? What about tablets?

I have the Hagen Natural Plant system. It's the exact same thing as a DIY system, it just looks nicer. It works as good as any DIY system, so it would be fine for a 10 gallon.

I've never used the Hydor one. And I have no idea if the tablets work or not.

I second the Excel suggestion, as long as you don't have plants that are sensitive to Excel.

Btw, why don't you want to do the DIY CO2? It's super easy once you give it a try.

If seen the system as well, didn't take me long thats its like $25 more than a DIY CO2 system and does the EXACT same thing.

A DIY CO2 is not hard, I got mine to work first try, no leaks, I just siliconed the heck out of that cap. And it works too, I went from 2.3 or 1.4 PPM of CO2 to about 7.6 in a matter of two days.

Im only using excel in my 35g and the plants are doing bloody amazingly. I dose 5ml every other day and my plants are bushy(the bushy ones anyway) and lush.

I have a DIY CO2 system in my tank too(10 gallon heavily planted), and its super easy to make! Just get a soda bottle thats 2 liters and then make a hole in the cape then get the tubing and silicone the tubing to the cap then hook up the tubing to a pump or air stone then add in the yeast, sugar, water, ect then your don! Its that simple! You will only spend like $1-$2.
