My fish keeps rubbing himself on the things I have in my tank. He doesn't have any white spots on him (like ick), he looks normal? What's going on?

Can you test your water for ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates? In my own tank, pH fluctuations are usually the culprit.

what kind of fish is it? how long has the tank been setup? what is your maintenance routine? what other fish are in the tank?
