Thinking of getting a clown pleco. anything special i need to do in terms of keeping it?? anything special with feeding it too??? any information is appreciated!!

Yes, they like driftwood to nibble on.

They need driftwood to rasp on definitely. Not the best tank cleaners, but cute when they come out of hiding.

sweet... i don't want him for a tank cleaner, just never had one before so i would like to try one out and it doesn't get huge either! yay i'm excited now i just hope we don't sell the 2 that are left (i don't work there till next friday so gotta keep my fingers crossed!)

They need driftwood to eat on to stay healthy. Also, veggies on occasion, shrimp pellets, algae wafers. Use these items as occasional treats, driftwood is actually the main diet. Cute little fish but can be territorial inside their own species in smaller tanks. It's usually limited to some pushing and shoving, no damage normally. They get along well with other peacefull bottom dwellers. Mostly noctournal, when you see them it's always a treat.

I just discovered that my clown pleco was still alive. I have not seen him for few months and kind of assumed that he died so I havent realy fed any wafers or veggies. he still survived even though I have no driftwood in the tank and seems to be doing OK.
definitely did not grow as fast as his "common" cousin used to.
