Would like to possibly add some live plants to my current set-up. 55 Gallon with Barbs, Coys, Blue Gourami, CAE. The last time I tried this, the plants lasted about 1 week due to the Gourami eating them.

My question: What type/types of plants would be good with the following conditions:

1) Easy to maintain
2) Do not require a lot of light.
3) Will not grow and overwhelm the tank.
4) With work with my substrate (small 'stones' from 'pea' to 'small marble' size).
5) Will NOT get eaten by the Gourami (or any other fish).

my gourami don't eat my anubias or my java fern, they do munch on my moss (not that it matters) and the anacharis is like salad to them. Both java fern and anubias are low light and can be anchored to rock/driftwood instead of planted in the substrate and are low-light.

Does anyone know of a site which contains more information on plants?

gouramis like cover, get some floating plants such as frogbit, water lettuce, duckweed, all fairly easy growing
