what are these???

this morning I went out to see if there were any mosquito larvae left. I saw something moving so I looked and found this strange thing in the rotting leaves and stuff at the bottom. It looks basically like a bird dropping with a long tail. I managed to find 2 of them. I have never seen anything like these before. I will post some pictures soon.

I did a search in google and found the closest thing would be something called "Stylaria".... maybe but not quite exactly like these.

I'm moving this to the pond section.

thanks for moving it, but I thought it would get more views in the other area. they do look similar to stylaria, but are much larger. these things are pretty big.

I found out what they were on mfk. they are apparently dronefly larvae
