A while back in the old forum I asked about some algae eaters for my tank and if ottos would be good. Well I finally got 5 of them and everyone was right. They are excellent little cleaners and have been very busy from the moment I put them in the tank. I'm impressed already even though they've only been in the main tank for a day.:)

Look out for 'unexplained oto death'. I had one die during a water change recently and I can't think of anything that could have killed him except the lack of gut bacteria and he starved or something. There are several species of oto. The best algae eaters are the otocinclus vittatus.
