what's the size of your discus and what's the size of your tank? What does he generally eat?

please list the entire set up. size tank, number of discus, filtration, barebottom or not temp
and list the water parameters..include pH ammonia, nitrite,nitrate.etc.
you may even want to list the pH of source water, what is the source water, etc.

Slick your hair the other way... J/k

Good luck man

Didn't you have problems with your angels dying before you bought Discus? Did you follow all of the advice in that thread? I agree with star_rider, you need to list everything. could be an internal parasite. Is it eating? what is its poo like? is it the only one turning dark? Could be stressed. Do you still have angels in with the discus? (not a good mix unless you have a huge set-up). Maybe you should have mastered taking care of the angels and getting everything running properly before investing in the Discus

ok, after the angels dead, i re set up the tank ,changes alot of water before i add discus, but when i bought my 55 gal, it was ok and nice for 3 day, right before my order of 6 discus come in, it broke cause of old age or thin glass spot, and now i have to put the discus in th 20 long, all of them are 3-4" each
i do water changes everyday, 75% each time
it's a hevy planted
sand
rocks
3X the filter, one for the 55 gal, one for the 20 long one for the 10 gal
2X the heater, one for the 5 gal one for the 10 gal,
temp is 85c
light is kina high
since they came in, they only like to eat dried blood worm, i've tried many thing but they spit it alll out
i feed them 3X a day, just alittle each time
just did another 80% water change
Ph 6.8
alkalinity 80
hardness 75
nitrite 0
nitrate 20
amonia 0

is the pH normally 6.8? or are you using something to adjust the pH?

what is the source of the water?

when you do 75% water changes are the water parameters very close to the tank water..Primarily temp and pH.

you had a tough time with angels then moved to Discus.
seems you are attempting to do the right thing..how long have you had problems getting the Discus to eat?
I agree adding salt and maybe bump the temp up a bit. 86-88 add an airstone.

the salt may kill your plants you'll need to research the right plants for a discus tank if you are keeping juveniles.

Did you get the discus from a breeder? if you did contact the breeder and find out what they feed the discus.
you may need to find some beef heart as this is a common food used to raise discus..they will develop a taste for it..and it is messy so does need to be cleaned up .

turning brown and or derkening is a sign of stress..but it is normal.
not eating is not a good sign.

but you do need to find out what they have been use to eating.

yep

tap water
yes very close
after i add the discus into the tank, 1 hour latter they start to eat
yep from a breeder
froz blood worm is what they eat
all of my fish is eatting healthy
and the fish getting brighter again

yep ..what? is the pH normally 6.8 or are you adding something to change the pH?
don't do the latter.

after you add discus to the tank 1 hr later they start to eat?? what the heck are you talking about..?? didn't you get the discus a while back?

you should not feed discus newly added to a tank..they prob won't eat.

you need to make sure they eat more than frozen blood worms.
please take a moment and tell us the whole story...

this is turning out like your angel story..we get little bits and pieces of information that contradicts earlier statements.
