Here are some of my mystery snail babies, hatched August 22nd with my kids watching which was really neat. The mother was a purple striped and I don't know which one/ones was the daddy! I was curious to see what colours we'd get. They are all sort of clear/white/ivory when first hatched but later change and we now have blue, pink stripe, purple stripe, yellow, ivory, jade, brown stripe and a kind of neat yellow with purple stripe. To anyone in or around Hamilton, Ontario, they are available for pick-up (no shipping) for $1.00 each.

Thanks Mgamer. I did put a note in the classifieds and actually did sell some from that yesterday, which was great. Hopefully more people will see it because the thing with snail babies is that there is usually a lot of them. I also have them advertised on my local Kijiji site and I think I'm going to join my local Aquarium Society so maybe I can offload some there and hopefully pick up some good stuff too of course. To anyone thinking of hatching their own, I caution that even a small clutch (this was) can produce over 100 snails and they are dirty, dirty, dirty little guys and girls. Mine hatched in my 5 gallon tank and after a few weeks were moved to my virtually empty 90 gallon where they happily spend their days eating me out of house and home. In a small tank, I doubt anyone could really keep water issues under control.
