I am thinking of adding a couple filter shrimp like vampire or singapore flower shrimps to my tank, but I had used Seachem Flourish in the tank before which contains some copper sulfate. I also have Eco-Complete Substrate and I am not sure if it contains any traces of copper or not. Will the copper in the Seachem Flourish kill the shrimp? And how could I clear out the copper from my water if it is a problem? My tank is 55 gallons.

If I recall right, copper of any sort is a problem for invertebrates :thud:, so I'd err on the side of caution. Is there a test kit that detects copper? Based on the reading you get, you might try a few water changes to clear the system.
