Well few days ago was at LFS and picked up a Coralife Super Skimmer. Yes I know some say its not good and other say its OK but got a deal on it and I thought it would be better than nothing. Well got home took a couple of hours to get settings right but once I did this is what came out of tank.

This was just overnight. As for as the CSS65 goes I give it two thumbs up!!!

haha... yeah mine took a bit to break in but once it did, it worked great. I have had mine for a few months now. Exact same model. It's truly amazing what comes out of the water.

Actually yours looks pretty light compared to mine.. And the smell.. nasty when I clean it..
My super skimmer and probably all skimmers out their produce that sulphur smell.

What comes out of my CSS looks like coffee. But it certainly does not smell like coffee. :crazy::crazy: Fortunately, it calmed down after the first week or two of skimming and I only have to empty it maybe once or twice a week now.
Which gives it time to reach optimal stink.

Mine is darker as well..and thank goodness the teenage son does the maintenance on it.

I swear I wasn't shooting it.
But I'm telling you, my skimmate actually smelled good. Almost cologne-like.

My Remora pro is all over the place...sometimes it will fill the cup with dark green sludge in 24 hours, sometimes it will take a week to produce a cup of green tea.
It's crazy how much crap it pulls out if it's been shut down for a day or two. Can't imagine running without one now that I've seen what it extracts. Good marketing tool.

mine sometimes can nearly fill up over night then other times only needs emptied once a week.....dark and smelly every time though .

mmm skimmate cologne i wonder how many people would buy that stuff lol
