can you use co2 from a welding cylinder (2000psi) for a fish tank? obviously regulated, is there a difference in "grades" of co2?

yes with a regulator..... thats where i got my co2 tanks. there is a food grade co2 any will work.
sweet, apparently my hubby has access to 144 cubic feet of co2 if i want it....its in welding cylinders...just had to make sure its safe before i start stock-piling it.
Well, youll need to read up on co2 injection. Youll need lots of stuff besides just the tank and reg like needle valves, bubble counters and selenoid (opt, recommended) diffuser/reactor, etc. Make sure at least it is just co2 and not argon/co2 mix for mig welding.
i know i have lots of research, and in all reality, my lighting needs to be upgraded substantially first....its just co2, not an argon mix. and its free...think i will snag it for when i need it and get crack-a-lacking on the research. Thanks!
