cats for 55 gal?

other than cories and ottos, what catfish would be ok in a sand substrate 55 gal?

Do syno. eupterus get too big?
any other cats you might recommend? I'm open to LOTS of suggestions.

55g isnt wide enough for a .syno. eupterus / featherfins

a 65 would be tho as it is 18 inches wide which it can turn around
 
if you can find one.....a syno. oceliffer would work....they get around 4 inches and have awesome coloration.

an easier fish to find would be the upside down catfish, but they're not very exciting, IMO.
 
I personally don't like the upside down cats much...

So maybe I should just stick to cories and/or ottos?
