Hull, UK.
does anyone know of any good (everything needed inc vitamin supps) DIY carnivore recipes. All my proposed inhabitants are carniverous and would like to give them the best food to help them thrive

Cheers Grins. Do you know of any good supplements to add to the food to keep good colouration, healthy immune systems etc?

I really like Selcon as a food additive. I've never heard of it causing algae problems before though (learn something new everyday in this hobby). I only add 0.5 mL to a cube of thawed, rinsed frozen food.

Thanks, Grins.
I guess like anything else, too much of a good thing is bad.

Can you get selcon it in the UK? I've heardof people using Kent Zoe, is that any good? I find that with a lot of stuff the US has a much vaster choice than the UK, our choice seem limited

This is my experience with Selcon.. And thanks to FSN for suggesting it back when..

My process is that I thaw the food, rince twice in RO water then place food back into saltwater with Selcon .5 ml every third day. I haven't noticed an increase in any nutrients in my system in fact I have been happily experiencing a 0 nitrate reading for a while.

But thats not to say in other systems it couldn't increase the nutrients.

The best thing I have noticed is the overall color and health of all the livestock in my tank.. No one seems faded or whitish looking at all.. Colors just pop and thats even under my t5's and not my 14k's.
