What is the best way to cure ich in my display without killing crabs ,snails etc.

Ich Attack at double the listed dosage...period...end of story.

Just a thought, but organic ich cure might be a thought. I know petco(IKNOW) has an organic cure that i have used with success. i Only have softies though

I just went through this, I moved all my live rock and hermit crabs to a QT tank for 1 month. Treated the main tank with Quick ick (malechite green) 3 day treatment got it from Petco. My fish are doing great all the ick is gone, put all media back into filter to remove medecine from water. I put the hermits back in. Just waiting for at least a full month to put the LR back in just in case any ick is still alive in that water.

This was the first time I tried it this way, usually i move the fish to the QT tank. I think this worked better, less stress on fish. For now I decorated the tank with some fake stuff so the fish would feel at home.

I used copper treatments before but they take longer to work and i lost fish to the copper before. copper is very tough to work with.

I feel that the best method of preventing ick in ones main reef or FO systems is to have a QT, prior that is before placing into your main tank(s). Of course, there is no insurances that your tank will be ick free, but it would help no less in best to preventing ick to becoming established in your main system.

IM new to this so I dont have a q tank or a h tank yet Im treating with ich attack and just picked up a uv sterilizer.I hope this works any other suggestions ?

Something to consider for the future, a qt tank would have cost less than the UV sterilizer. It is something I'd suggest investing in for future purchases. Good luck with the treatment plan you have for the present issue.
