i just got a few in im making a breeding collony and they are all brown with a few grey stripes does it take time to get color or what i have no idea

if theyre juveniles theyll all have the female coloration(brownish with stripes). About how big are they? They should start coloring up(the males) at around 2 1/2-3".

I think your question is about female maleri gold peacocks, in that case the females will stay brown and don't get much(any) color besides being the drab brown. THey will look like other females from other peacock species

thats a Male that I posted above. The females will stay a drab color like all other female aulonocara. Ill try and get a pic of my female maleri, but it will just look like any other female aulonocara...

yeah verse that would be choice dont go to, to much trouble oh also whats an ideal colony 1 male and 5 females etc or the more the merrier

an ideal colony would be 2 males and 6-8 females or just one male and 3-4 females. I usually try to keep trios of them(1m/2f), and it works out great, but the more females, the better.
