View Full Version : 9" Uaru (SA Cichlid) in N. NJ (Local Pick-Up Only)

3+ year old adult Uaru amphiacanthoides - not certain of gender but maybe female. Approximately 9" head to tail length Healthy and not aggressive toward smaller fishes. Currently in 55 Gallon tank. Pick up only - you supply bags. Located minutes from the Holland Tunnel - Northern NJ. $35 Cash only.

The tank must be minimum 55g. 55g with smaller fishes is fine, but this fish would be a nice addition to a larger tank with the less aggressive SA cichlids and other fishes.

Nice, gentle cichlid. Excelent tank mate for other non violent cichlids. Totally non-violent. I've seen them up to 9 pounds.

I don't know about 10 pounds - but they are gentle! I had them with Platys, and raised several generations in the tank. Other Uarus eat smaller fishes, but not this one! Someone won the bid on aquabid, so as long as they check out and can provide a good home she is sold :)
