My 55 gallon needs to have the bio load loosened alot. I have some ideas. First i have 2 10gal tanks that i can split up the goldfish into. The smaller ones i mean, not the 8in and 2 7in goldfish. So that means 3 into each tank. I have one powerfilter that can go onto one tank and a air driven filter that can go onto another unless i can get my old 30gal power filter working. When i mean old........i mean 10 yrs old. It may not even work. But i will see what i can do. Does this sound better for the 55gals bio load???? I will add plants to both of the 10gals to help with filtration and also a natural food source, since i have found out how to setup a tank to grow plants......even a goldie tank.

I set up a tank that hadn't been used for over 13 years and everything still worked: heater, pump, lights. So I don't see why your's wouldn't. It would be best to get that one up and running for your fish's sake.

That’s a step in the right direction as far as lightening the bio load.
