sump dsb

I'm setting up a sump with a 6" DSB and some base rock for filtration. I was not planning to light the sump.

Will all the critters I need to keep the DSB active be fine in the dark?

Should be fine. Stars and worms are more active in the dark anyway. Our sump is writhing with critters all the time.

Agreed - you won't really need any lights unless you plan on growing macro algaes etc. in the sump.
