Northern Pike as in Esox lucius?
Other than needing an olympic sized swimming pool... my guess would be more fish to eat...
People over on www.monsterfishkeepers.com (the sister site/forum of this one) may be able to offer more advice.
Pictures would be sweet!

a northern pike?! 250 gallons is definitely a good start.. but he's going to make that tank look like a 10 gallon here pretty soon. those are BIG fish.

Pike do live in shallow water in the winter, where the food is. But 15' shallow lake and 5' pond is not the same. oh yeah those teeth are super sharp, trusts me.

I caught a 38"er in the Thousand Islands awhile back....back when the St. Lawrence was worth fishing.
A big, big pond would be good for that fish.

Can we get a pic of the Northern? I love catching them in crystal clear water in the spring. I always catch and release, they are awesome fish.

Who in their right mind would catch a fish (illegally decide to keep them), and do so not knowing anything about their needs!?!?!
Wow...
P.S.
Do not release him back regardless of what you decide to do with him.
Thank you.

my friends brother caught a small about ''4 inch long large mouth bass about 2 weeks ago. he took it home and put it in his 25 g tank that has a crayfish in it. Hes feeding it feeder fish. The guy at the pet store asked him "are you fattening it up to eat it"?

worker was nicer than me then. the one time i had a guy come in who told me he caught some wild fish from a local river and put them in his tank my response was "why would you want to kill a fish that way?"
3 hours later...he finally decided that it'd be easier to get a betta fish for his 5 gallon tank than the 5" fish he used to have in there...i didn't ask about the wild fish...sometimes its better not to know in this business.
