Can anyone point me to a website or two about mulitple tank set-ups?

How does Petco do their wall of tanks set-ups? I have the opportunity to purchase the shelving, lights, and tanks from a petco wall and would like some advice on how to plumb it.

I know it would help if you could see it and know what kind of fish were going in there but I dont have a pic and I'm not sure what kind of fish I'd keep.

If I remember right, there's two 20g's on top, 3 10g's in the middle and 4 5g's on the bottom. The oscars are going on the bottom, j/k. I think I'd do some breeding of small, tropical fish like endlers, guppies, and maybe GBR's but I'm not sold on anything yet.

Any comments, questions, or suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I think that you are an animal Hatch! Good luck with this, wish I had some info to get you. Just so you know, those fish I was trying to ID did end up being swordtail tetras. Good luck!

Great! I'm glad you found their true identity! LOL Thanks for the encouragement....I'll definately post progress pics if this wall turns out to be a good investment.

Right Mgamer... I agree.

I was thinking of a filter for the top two tanks, another for the middle three, and sponge filters for the fry tanks (5g's on bottom). My problem is I don't know how to run multiple tanks off of one filter....do I just plump them together with a piece of pipe fitted with a screen and have the inlet in one tank and the outlet at the last tank in the series?

Am I making sense? LOL

I guess I was just hoping to view some options....what other people have done.

DOH! Now I see what you mean Mgamer! You would run sponge filters for ALL the tanks. Ok. I'm not very familiar with their filtering capabilities. Would I need any additional filtration for say cichlids? I'm still not sure what type of fish I would breed.

Thanks again for the input....sorry I brain farted on your advice...I didn't understand.
