Lol just got Ezekiel settled in his new tank. Okay okay so it is a tad overboard, but the tank, filter and heater were empty and I was sick of his old tank, as it was impossible to clean, so he got this.

Lol yes it IS a 20g and yes the only occupant is a 2 inch Betta. The two glass jars are to give him places to get out of the current. The filter is also very underpowered turning the tank over just twice per hour.

And some shots of Ezekiel

Nice....:thm:most I've had for a solo betta is a ten gal.

The small "betta bowls" (thats what I bought them as LOL) are actually quite a hit, he sleeps in the one on the left and spends quite a bit of time patrolling the front, like it's his own little territory. Guess theres that might be where the "bettas like small tanks" thing came from, though Ezekiel also does swim all over his tank, just he spends most of the time near the vase.

I once had a betta who had his own ten-gallon tank (well, he shared it with a couple of c. aeneus). He was one happy betta, spending all days swimming up and down along the walls.

My two male bettas are both in ten gals alone. One of the tanks is kinda tucked in the corner behind my desk and has hardly any decor. Maybe I'll try some small jars.
The delta swims about a lot...the HM not so much except when he sees me he comes over ..Then he comes dashing to beg for food.

I think bigger is always going to be better, though a smaller tank can meet their needs.
