Hello everyone, i am interested in making a paladrium for my whites. The tank is a 20H. I am only interested in having like a quarter of the tank water due to tha fact that whites arent very aquatic. I am going to have a small internal filter, a small homemade waterfall, an ultrasonic fogger for the morning, and tons of branches and live tropical plants. I have tried a similar idea in my bull frog tank but i use bed-a-beast and that crap gets into the wayer and clogs the filter and just makes the water disgusting. So my question is what substrate would you reccomend i use so that my filters dont clog. I was thinking about aquarium gravel(tons of it lying around) but i was concerned that the frogs may swallow it and become impacted and die. And also another question, can i keep a small crab in the tank as well? I have seen this done with firebelly toads but i am not sure if it can be done with whites treefrogs. TIA.

i always use this pic on paint as a good set up for wtf's. The water part can just be separated by siliconing a piece of glass or plexiglass in, simple set up, the main thing is to have plenty of climbing stuff. In a 20 gallon most people will say only one wtf, but having them myself I think 2 would be fine.
