I'm interested in adding a floating plant to add some cover for a couple of my fish. Is there anything that I can add that doesn't require high light. I have a 20H with two 18" 15 watt bulbs.
Thanks

duckweed, hornwort, guppy grass,or anacharis come to mind right away.

Just an FYI, I think most people regret adding duckweed. Weed is the key part there. It goes nuts and grows very quickly. Hornwort seems to be the floating plant of choice these days.

Water sprite grows well, but the roots will grow quite long. Baby plants grow from dying leaves. I cut off a couple of my dying leaves and allowed them to float, the new roots extend four inches down the water column. The roots are caught on a java fern leaf right now so it is pretty stationary.
My planted ones' leaves extend about six inches up from the substrate.
