aquatic plant newbie

for the past few days i have been wondering what i should do with my 29g
tank and ive come to the conclusion that im gonna get rid of all my ugly plastic plants and get live ones. I visited ptesmart and petco and they had a large variety of plants . Does anyone have any advice on the kinds of plants i should purpose for a livebearer community with maybe some tetras. My water temperture is 78d and my ph is 6.8 , my bottem of the tank is gravel , any ideas? :help:
 
Matter of fact, if you want a dynamite plant package once you receive info on your lights, I bet Mgamer has a plant package just for you. Everyone seems to agree his plants are dynamite. Check him out!
 
it is flourescent , 20 watts , and there is one 30 inch bulb in the fixture
