Im not asking about compatibility or anything, just asking which group of fish you would choose if this were your tank. Kind of a fun thread :). Ok, so heres a few groups of fish I have picked out, but I havent decided which group I want yet. Which would you choose out of....

1) 1 jack dempsey (already have it) about 6.5 inches, 1 convict, 1 jewel, 4 giant danios

2) 1 jack dempsey, 1 severum, 1 firemouth, 4 giant danios

3) 1 jack dempsey, 1 blue acara, 1 firemouth, 4 giant danios

4) 1 jack dempsey, 1 severum, 1 blue acara, 4 giant danios

I think I will choose either 2 or 4 so I will have at least 1 personable fish (severum). Pretend this is your tank, which group would you choose? The tank size is 48"x16"x20" (66 gallons), and the dempsey is relatively peaceful. I have a pleco too but its going to the lfs.

I would choose four, but then the tough question, green or gold severum?

I would choose 2, with a Green severum. Used to really dig Gold but bought a Juvie Green and have absolutely loved seeing the colors get more intense as it grows. I think it blows the Gold away for beauty, YMMV.

I've all kinds of Severums :p 2 Green, 2 Gold, 2 Red Face severums.

Now my male Green Severum is trying to woo the female Green Severum. It is totally interesting to watch. Thought to just share the news :p The male severum is trying to protect the flat rock. I guess he is getting it ready for the female to lay eggs one day. Can't wait :p

I've firemouth too. It is a juvenile. Beautiful red on his jaw and belly.

#2, With all these fish, JD, Green Severum, and firemouth combine...that will be a beautiful and interesting tank to watch.

6) Green Terror, Convict, JD, Texas........thats eventually what I want in mine :D

But given the restrictions I would go with 4

4) Acaras and severus are some of the most beautiful and hardy of the New Worlds, and the dempseys are great fun.
