Just wanted to let you all know, I am going out of town from Monday through next Saturday..not sure how much internet access I will have. I have to go take care of my mother who had to have an emergency re-knee replacement (hers broke) and they had to reconstruct her whole leg (gah! sounds painful). Cross your fingers for my sterbai eggs (hopefully hatched by then) and the tank of sick tetras!

Good luck. Not sure what your mother is having reconstructed but hopefully it is one of the simpler redos with an easier recovery. Either way, it's a lot of recovery--she'll need ya. I'm assuming that your leaving the rest of the family behind to care for the fish (careful!!!!)?? Wish the best for everyone!
She has the head of both bones in the knee joint replaced last year and the prosthesis snapped off the remaining bone...she had to have "new" upper and lower parts of the joints, as well as the joint itself, reconstructed....its gonna be a long road for her. I am taking the kids (well the younger two with me) and leaving hubby and the 10 yr old at home to care for themselves (frightening in itself) and my critters (exponentially more frightening).
