Here is a photo of a 16 tank temperature monitor with a audible warning system that a friend and I did together. This unit we put together took us about 6 months to complete and now warns me when one of my tanks is out of temperature range I set. Each probe that I added to the unit can be set to a certain high/low temperature range to monitor each of my tanks. For instance one of my tanks has Guppies in it. I set the monitor to warm me if the tank drops below 75 degrees or goes above 80 degrees, another tank has Discus in it so I have it set for 79 & 83 degrees. If those tanks goes out of range the device sends out a warning to me something is wrong. Also since my tanks are in another room we installed on the bottom of the unit a connection so I could put a wireless doorbell or similar feature to warn me in another room something is wrong with one of my tanks. If it goes off I watch the display on my monitor that changes every 4 seconds to the next set of probes to see which tank in out of my temperature limit. Each probe has 30 inches of wire connected to it with a plug on the end. Each probe is hooked in series and not connected directly into the box. Let's say you have the unit connected to 16 tanks, once they are all set the unit Display scrolls every 4 seconds to the next set of sensors. So every four seconds you will see the temperature of the next two tanks in line. Here is the photo during testing where I used a glass of hot water and cold water. This unit is fully programmable by me to set each sensor to the temperature I want to monitor on each tank. I will try and get a few photos of the unit working on the 12 tanks I have it connected to in the next few weeks. It has worked just great in the week I have had it running. Now that we have it running we are making a few changes to make it look a little better.
