I awoke to find my aquarium temp @ 39c. I have now replaced the heater and everything is back to normal - or so it seems.
But all of my neons died, x-ray tetra and one silvertip. Th other silvertips survived and my male betta is alvie (thank the fish god).
Anyway in the tank there lived a Dwarf Albino Corey and he doesn't live there anymore and I didn't remove him from the tank. I know he died because of the heat but just can't find him. I have removed all of the objects he could have hidden and he isn't there, he hasn't jumped out because he can't and I have no fish bigger than a silvertip tetra apart from Elivs my male beta which is two inches long.
The lfs said "ooh, he's probably been eaten when he died" but can this happen to a fish bigger than the rest and within 7 hours of me sleeping and leave no bones.
The theory could be that there is a fish fairy that comes at..... No , no only kidding - but where could he be.
This posting is in the memory of the fish that lost their lives in the great heat of 2003.
