cabomba question

My tank is still cycling, and just recently the purple tops of my cabomba are closing up, like a flower bud, am I doing somethin wrong?

Could it be new growth that didnt open yet? I'm not an expert but mine is growing way way to fast......out competing all other plants.

the tips of mine close up at night and open during the day. are they receiving differerent light? or it very well could be new growth.

mine show nearly immediate reddening and tightening when I dose iron.

from what I've gathered with the stuff.... normal. Mine have done that non stop since I put it in, and it is growing like a weed, no joke.
